The graduation ceremony of the second cohort of the Higher Institute of Statistical Professions, part of the Polytechnic Group, was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of National Defence, Mr Hanana Ould Sidi, accompanied by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armies, General Mokhtar Bellah Chaabane, senior officers commanding the military and security sectors, and Colonel-Engineer Mohamed Ould Mohamed Mahmoud, commander of the Polytechnic Group.
Fifty-eight students completed three years of dedicated study and high-level training, leading to the professional bachelor's degree in statistics. The ceremony featured presentations by the graduates on the work they carried out during internships in various ministries, public and private institutions, and regional and international organisations.
These internships matter considerably: they feed directly into decision-making, with students drawing on the intensive training they received in statistics, economics and computing.
